Chris Masterjohn earned his PhD in nutritional sciences from the University of Connecticut in 2012, served as a postdoctoral research associate in the Comparative Biosciences department of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and was assistant professor of health and nutrition sciences at Brooklyn College. In 2016, he made the decision to leave academia and pursue entrepreneurship. Currently, he conducts independent research, consults, works on information products, collaborates on information and technology products, and produces free content to help people gain better health. With deep and personal experiences with the power of food, movement and mindfulness to support health and wellbeing, he wants to take what he’s learned and pay it forward.
Constantly learning by scouring scientific literature, uncovering long-forgotten and neglected evidence from yesteryear, following and deciphering the latest findings, Chris Masterjohn grapples with complex science and translates it into practical principles that each of us can use to better support our health.
